Director of Sales – Sales Manager

Do you have a passion for clean air? Reporting to the VP of Sales, the Director of Sales role is vital in helping to achieve revenue and margin growth, in-line with company vision and values.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop sales and marketing plan to establish strategy and tactics to penetrate and grow APC sales at key regions in North American markets
  • Identify and maintain list of accounts being targeted (end-users, contractors, EPCs, OEMs, etc.)
  • Conduct cold/warm calls, client meetings, presentations
  • Participate at trade shows, conferences and other industry events
  • Develop key influencer relationships with decision makers including Engineers, Project Managers, Environmental Managers, Purchasing, Product Managers, Contractors, Company Decision Makers, etc.
  • Build and maintain sales pipeline of qualified opportunities sufficient in size to achieve sales goals
  • Collaborate, leverage and work closely with internal sales, management, engineering and technical teams, including an Austrian headquartered parent company
  • Lead proposal development, with assistance from in-house engineering and technical personnel
  • Negotiate and close deals
  • Provide periodic forecasts of monthly order intake as requested
  • Maintain account, contact and opportunity database within company CRM system
  • Achieve Company sales goals

Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering preferred
  • Five years of proven industrial sales experience selling large Capital Goods and Projects, preferably in the environmental air pollution control markets
  • Experience in either Industrial Minerals (cement, other), Ferrous/Non-Ferrous Metals or Foundry markets
  • Northeast, Midwest, Southeast and/or Southwest locations preferred
  • Willing to travel 50%+ of time, as needed
  • Experience reporting to senior level management team
  • Proven success at selling on value
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain an upbeat and positive attitude
  • Ability to work in a growth organization with progressive and evolving goals
  • Ability to work in self-directed, fast-paced professional environment
  • High proficiency with computers skills, including email, MS Office, MS Excel.
  • High degree of familiarity with CRM management tool (Microsoft Dynamics)
